A Beautiful Inheritance

Ephesians 1:3-14

Sept 13, 2021 • Chad Francis

Paul’s opening poem of praise introduces the theme of the letter. God has planned from the foundation of the world to restore the brokenness of the cosmos through Jesus. Paul refers to this redemption an “inheritance” that God’s people receive through Jesus’ work on the cross and when our eyes see the beauty of this inheritance we have been given, it results in praise of our great God and savior who has graciously lavished these riches upon us. This whole letter then, is fundamentally about unpacking the wonders of the inheritance we have received in Christ that our lives might result in the praise of God’s glorious grace.
