In this story about the founding of the church in Ephesus, we see that Jesus lovingly disturbs the status quo of our lives for our good. This beautiful disturbance is what Paul is writing the to stir up afresh in lives of the Ephesian Christians, and by God’s grace, it is a beautiful disturbance that we can see again in our day as we study this important letter.
