The Invitation of Christmas

Luke 1:27-38

As the story of Christmas continues, we meet the virgin Mary. An angel appears to her with an incredible word of grace. God is coming to redeem the world and she’s going to get to raise Him! But as incredible as this news is, Mary still had to be willing to die to her own dreams for her life to take hold of God’s plans for her life. This is the same ask Christmas makes of all of us. Christmas invites us into a greater story, where God is redeeming everything and will one day make all things new, but in order to experience this grace, we must—like Mary—be willing to surrender our lives to a greater King.
