The Promise-Keeping God

Luke 1:5-26

Luke begins his biography of Jesus with a story about a righteous, yet doubting priest. In this story, we see that our pain can block our view of God’s promises but this doesn’t stop God from fulfilling His promises. At Christmas we celebrate what the angel tells Zechariah: God keeps His promises. And as we get our eyes up onto God fulfilling His promises in Jesus’ first coming, we too can find joy and gladness as we await His second coming.
