#6: Jesus’ True Family

No family of origin is perfect, and that’s something we see on full display in this story. As the crowds around him are growing, Jesus calls a diverse group of disciples out of the crowd to be with him and join him on his mission. While Jesus’ own family rejects him and tries to stop him, Jesus is at work building a new spiritual family called the church, where we help and support one another in our walk with God. Jesus makes us family.
