As the hour of His death draws near, Jesus begins to be overwhelmed and is failed then abandoned by His closest friends. In this story, we see the weakness of even the best-intended humans and the strength of God’s love that can empower us to rise above our fleshy limitations and respond to our own overwhelming circumstances faithfully like Jesus.
