A Beautiful Marriage

Why do Christians make such a big deal of marriage? Ephesians 5 tells us. In what is the longest teaching on marriage in the entire New Testament, Paul shows us that marriage is ultimately meant to teach us about the love Jesus has for His people. In this great text, the Apostle Paul shows how we can better reflect the beauty of the gospel in our marriages. While this text is packed with practical advice for husbands and wives, the main idea is that we can only walk in God’s design for marriage as our hearts are caught up in the ultimate marriage. As those perfectly loved by Christ, we are to soak in the gospel so that our marriages might increasingly reflect the beauty of the gospel to one another.
