Cutting Room Floor Ep 13 - What’s the Deal with Prophecy?

This week we’re talking spiritual gifts! Are all of the gifts in the NT still active in the church today or have some ceased? After explaining the distinction between the “extraordinary gifts” and “ordinary gifts” (5:00), Phil shares his position (8:10), followed by Chad (10:17). Phil then makes the case that we’re all ultimately cessationists (11:59), after which the conversation turns back toward the gift of prophecy (23:06) where we finally hear Stephen’s position on all of this (40:25). After much back and forth on the definition of prophecy, the guys conclude by each making a final case for how to approach the gift of prophecy today (52:35).
