Cutting Room Floor Ep 09 - When Philosophy & Scripture Collide

This week we’re diving into the philosophical argument against predestination (6:40)! After building out a framework for what to do when our philosophical instincts seem to collide with what we’re reading in Scripture (8:41), Chad and Phil spend time considering three questions about what has been taught over the past couple of weeks. The first has to do with Jesus’ call of the 12 in John’s Gospel (23:01), the second has to do with Moses’ intercession for the people of Israel (39:42), and the last is about the curious line in Romans 11 about all Israel being saved (50:14). Don’t miss the discussion about competitive vs participatory metaphysics (36:10)!
